We are looking for a volunteer for the local chapter of ChickTech. This opportunity would be to put on a workshop around robotics technology. Examples would be building a robot car!
Our ideal leader will have some or all of the below:
- Experience with hardware
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent problem solving skills, ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- The ability to work in a collaborative style and move others to action by planning, motivating and organizing work tasks
- Excellent interpersonal skills that establish and maintain credibility and relationships
- Event Planning experience
Key responsibilities include:
- Build a workshop for Robotics technology
The main objectives:
- Recruit a team to create hands a hands on events for girls around Robotics tech.
- Provide and oversee comprehensive documentation to help identify best practices and keep the events in line with the organization’s mission and philosophy.
- Be responsible for working with your team of ChickTechies to cover what you need to be successful.
- Create quality reports and presentations as needed.
- Attend ChickTech meetings and facilitate communication between leadership team members.
- Keep in close connection with HQ and other chapters
Time Commitment: 2 hour per week leading with a workshop weekend in November that is 2 days.

ChickTech is a multi-generational community helping each other become technology creators. We facilitate hands-on technology-centric events and mentorship to empower, support, and increase the confidence of girls, women, and non-binary folks. Through our programs, we build community, empower participants to see themselves as leaders, and provide networking and mentoring opportunities in the rapidly growing tech industry.
As a mostly volunteer-run non-profit, we are always searching for partners who would like to get involved through donations of expertise, volunteer time, in-kind, funding, or just by helping to get the word out.
