We need interpreter assistance at our Driving Class for newly arrived refugees. Do you speak Amharic, Arabic, Burmese, Dari, French, Karen, Kinyarwanda, Kiswahili, Rohingya, Spanish, Tigrinya, or another language not mentioned here? We serve refugees from all over the world, and could likely use your language proficiency to facilitate interpretation of important concepts in our Home Safety and Driving classes.
Responsibilities:
- Clearly interpret information from English to other language and back to English
- Work respectfully and patiently with individuals from many parts of the world

Description
Church World Service is one of 10 U.S. voluntary agencies upon which the U.S. Refugee Program depends to welcome refugees to America. CWS affiliate agencies work hand-in-hand with seven participating denominations, local congregational cosponsors, and many other community volunteers to ensure that the newcomers have food, clothing, and other essentials as they help refugees learn English, find their way around town, enroll their children in school, look for work, and quickly become self-sufficient.
