Looking to invest your time and talents in a way that makes a lasting impact? By working with Circle of Peace International (COPI) as our Leadership Development Director you can ensure that orphans and low-income students in Africa get the key to a better life: a quality education.
The Leadership Development Director is a board member whose responsibility is to work with a Team to develop job descriptions, recruit, orient, evaluate and recognize outstanding service of volunteers. The Director is responsible for identifying recruitment channels, posting job descriptions, screening applicants, interviewing applicants, updating leadership directories, checking in regularly with volunteers and developing appropriate ways to thank volunteers for their service.
We seek a person in the Richmond, VA area with excellent skills in volunteer management, human resources, community outreach, and communication. Because the organization has no staff, the Leadership Development Director must be a person who can work without supervision, carry out responsibilities in a timely manner, and interact well with others. Just as important is an appreciation for the mission, vision and values of Circle of Peace International and Circle of Peace School. At least a one-year commitment is required.
If you fit this bill, we would love to hear from you. Just think, if all children in low-income countries could acquire basic reading skills, 171 million people could be lifted out of poverty. What better way to invest your time and talents!
