New Leaf Behavioral Health provides mental health services to individuals in Raleigh and surrounding areas of North Carolina. We provide services to all in our community, with a special program to help individuals without insurance or those with limited insurance benefits to access affordable mental health services. Technology can help us extend our mission by increasing our use of technology to improve our efficiency in a variety of areas and increase our staff time to have with helping people.
We would love to have somebody to help on a flexible, project-by-project basis in helping tackle a variety of needs and wants that intersect with a variety of areas, including servers/networking, websites development, telecom systems, etc.
If you have an established set of skills in the area of IT, please consider this opportunity to help out a nonprofit and know that you're helping support work that extends to many individuals and families in the community in need of help.
Skills sets that may be applicable:
- Knowledge of Windows OS (7-10 Enterprise) and Microsoft Server 2012 R2.
- Active directory and group policy
- Cisco routers and switches
- Electronic Health Records systems, HIPAA, data security
- Websites and databases
- Design and graphics
- Specific software applications that may help increase efficiency

New Leaf Behavioral Health is a non-profit community mental health organization founded to create a comprehensive approach to help people make lasting, positive changes in their lives. It is our goal to ensure that people in our community have access to affordable and effective mental health services. New Leaf is committed to the goal of creating a supportive environment where people feel comfortable exploring personal issues and making positive changes.
Services and supports are designed to provide meaningful assistance to the individual in acquiring and maintaining physical, mental, and social skills, which enable the individual to reach their full potential. An emphasis on personal responsibility lays the foundation for individuals to work on identifying their core problems, developing a plan to reach goals, and facilitating change in their lives.
We offer individual, couples and family counseling, a wide range of groups and have psychiatry services for those who may benefit from medication. Additionally, we offer community initiatives to try to help increase public awareness to mental health issues and identify appropriate resources to find support.
