Bring joy to isolated disabled man

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Volunteer Services

At the Junction in West Seattle where people swarm, lives an isolated disabled man. He is middle aged with a degenerative disease and uses a motor wheelchair. He is diabetic as well and is nearly home bound except for playing cards once a week. He would love a friend to visit him weekly, or bi-monthly to help with laundry, vacuuming, and just hang out! Very friendly man who's support network is only his aging mother.

Volunteer Services is a program of Catholic Community Services. VS provides volunteers who help with the living independence of low-income elders and people living with disabilities. Volunteers are matched to someone based on their interest and volunteering is done on YOUR schedule, in YOUR neighborhood! Just help once to four times a month doing housework, shopping, transportation, yard work, minor home repair, and companionship and make a huge difference in someone’s life. Please contact Adria @ 253-850-2525 for an application. Mileage reimbursed, orientation provided, and background check required.
