Mission Statement

The Delaware County Community Foundation (DCCF), a public charity, is the catalyst and trusted agent for philanthropy serving Delaware County, PA. DCCF encourages local philanthropy by assisting donors in identifying and meeting their charitable goals. Through DCCF, donors establish lasting legacies that improve the quality of life for residents of Delaware County. DCCF further supports charitable giving in our community through grant-making, charitable vehicles, fund management and community resources and supports non-profit organizations through seminars and programs to help build internal capacity. Since inception, DCCF has raised close to $3 million and distributed over $2 million in grants to charity.

The Delaware County Community Foundation (DCCF), a public charity, is the catalyst and trusted agent for philanthropy serving Delaware County, PA. DCCF’s core mission is to improve the lives of those living and working in Delaware County. DCCF accomplishes this through philanthropy-generated by and benefitting the local community.

DCCF encourages local philanthropy by assisting donors in identifying and meeting their charitable goals. Through DCCF, donors establish lasting legacies that improve the quality of life for residents of Delaware County. DCCF further supports charitable giving in our community through grant-making, charitable vehicles, fund management and community resources and supports non-profit organizations through seminars and programs to help build internal capacity. What makes a community foundation distinct is its diversity of funds, created by individuals, families, agencies, nonprofit organizations, corporations, and other foundations. DCCF’s "family of funds" reflects the tapestry of our communities in Delaware County. Over time, these funds will provide a perpetual base of financial resources dedicated to preserving and enhancing the quality of life for all who live and work in Delaware County.
