About

Short-term (3-4 month) contract position for a highly-experienced developer of 3D games in Unity, to complete a small (5-level) hunting/survival game played from the point of view of a mountain lion. The game is being produced by Felidae Conservation Fund as part of our school-based education program on mountain lions, and will also be promoted to the general public through our network of partners to raise awareness and understanding about the challenges and conflicts at the urban edge. The game has 5 levels, progressing from natural to highly developed landscapes; the increasingly difficult goal is simply to catch deer without getting killed by a car. The project’s current level of completion is alpha/beta for the majority of the game, and near-alpha for the remainder. Though the game is small and focused, it also employs a full complement of Unity services to create a rich and realistic experience, so extensive familiarity with Unity is required. Project compensation could either be hourly or milestone-based. There may also be some preliminary work (compensated) to initially review the code-base and evaluate the project completion path. Please submit a resume and at least 2 examples of completed Unity projects.
