Youth Mentoring

Rocky needed Apollo, Kobe admired Jordan, Martin Luther King Jr. learned from Benjamin Mays, Nelson Mandela was advised by Walter S isulu, Maya Angelou was a guide for Oprah, Socrates taught Plato and so on. More often than not the people we admire have had a mentor to support them along their journey in life.

So many youth are left to figure out life on their own. Meanwhile they must grow up in broken families and isolated communities wondering if they will ever break the cycle. Mentoring is having someone in your life who not only believes in your potential but also supports you along the way to achieve your dreams! The greatest influencers and leaders of our time all accredit their success to having a mentor.

"A mentor is someone who allows you to see the hope inside yourself."

Metro's mentoring program trains and equips community volunteers to become effective mentors that will help serve and empower at risk youth. Join the team and become a certified mentor today to help create change in someone's life.
