We are a FUN youth initiative, who praise, recognize and reward the youth in our community who pledge to be drug, alcohol, and tobacco free. It is a truly unique prevention program! We have many opportunities to volunteer with our Drug Free Youth Initiative. We have membership drives, social media and web updates, paperwork and organization, leadership and planning, community team building etc... This is an awesome opportunity to volunteer with fun people who are making a difference. It is a truly 'feel good' position to be in, and see the positive choices that youth are making in our community. If you ever thought you can't work with teens, give this a try. It will totally change your outlook on teens, and show you the great things they have to offer!

Description
Drug-Free Youth (D-Fy) is an initiative for area youth in 6th through 12th grade. D-Fy helps create a movement of peers who share a commitment to make positive choices and live a healthy, drug-free life. D-Fy also helps to grow a community culture to support these youth. D-Fy members are eligible to receive local discounts and attend special D-Fy events. Youth complete a membership application confirming their commitment to be drug, alcohol, and tobacco free. All potential members validate this commitment through a confidential drug screening when they join, and agree to be screened randomly throughout their membership year. Once the application is validated, members receive a photo ID membership card that entitles them to discounts at participating businesses and entrance to member-only events. Voluntary membership is renewable on a yearly basis. D-Fy Business Partners are establishments that offer discounts or other special perks for D-Fy members, are critical to the success of this initiative, and help create a community culture that support youth who are making positive choices. D-Fy business partners receive free advertising on the D-Fy website, a "We Support Drug Free Youth" window cling, and are identified as a partner in a variety D-Fy materials.
