Parrots are being displaced at an alarming rate. As their caregivers age, become ill, or find themselves facing economic emergencies, many of these often older birds find themselves in immediate need of placement. Sadly, today parrots who cannot find options are being euthanized. Gulf Coast Exotic Bird Sanctuary is home to approximately 200 parrots. As the need to accept more parrots grows, our need for foster homes grows. If you are interested in this opportunity please send a short bio.

At present, companion birds are the third preferred pet in the USA. Gulf Coast Exotic Bird Sanctuary is dedicated to rescuing these magnificent creatures. Parrots have joined their furred brothers and sisters on the euthanasia lines.
Description
Our goals are to: Educate persons interested in bird ownership about the proper care for pet birds and provide an avenue for people who can't keep their bird, but want to ensure a quality lifefor their pet.We rehabilitate and correct behavioral problems in birds resulting from neglect, abuse, or improper care.
