Competition Leadership Team

Member of the Competition Leadership Team for Enterprise In Space (EIS) consists of the Competition Leaders for each of the separate competitions.

This volunteer opportunity may lead to a permanent, salaried employment.

The roles and responsibilities include:

  • Design, manage, and run the assigned competition.
  • Collaborate/coordinate with grade level specific managers appropriate for the competition for which they are responsible.
  • Assist participants in competition rules and other competition elements to meet qualifications for entry in the competition program.
  • Provide follow-up, feedback and documentation related to the assigned competition.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to execute the marketing plan for the assigned competition.
  • Work with the Integrated Technology Team to create the online web presence and execute the marketing plan for the assigned competition.
  • Ensure the integrity of all competition guidelines.
  • Report and disseminate the results of the competition and ensure that competition winners are appropriately compensated. Follow through is important.

The mission of Enterprise In Space is to motivate students everywhere to reach for the stars, fostering a lifelong commitment toward building a better future for humanity, empowering teachers to drive educational change and equipping students with the skills to accomplish it.

Description

Enterprise In Space will design, engineer, build, launch, orbit, recover, tour, and exhibit a spacecraft named NSS Enterprise containing over 100 student experiments. Students will use a new powerful artificial intelligence tool, learning to apply science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM), and communicate in natural language with their experiments. This project will demonstrate and pioneer new technologies while inspiring and encouraging space enterprise, and is a tribute to the many great visionaries of science and science fiction. EIS will engage and inspire the next generation - all ages and walks of life - by igniting a renewed interest in space exploration and development.
