ACT Raising Safe Kids program is a positive parenting program. This program is currently being offered at several locations in the Kansas City Area including Genesis Academy, Gordon Parks, and Amethyst Place. This program will be taking place at several head start locations and volunteers will be needed to engage children from young toddler to elementary school age in activities that focus on exposures to violence, resolving conflict, dealing with anger, developing self awareness, and making friends. This is an opportunity that will allow volunteers to participate in child maltreatment prevention, learn about child development, and make new friends.
