ORGANIZATION: Sustainability Works!

  • 3 people are interested

Greener Good is in need of a couple of project managers. Our projects keep expanding! As we add more projects it has become necessary for us to get someone who can keep track of the big picture for us. We have a blog and several TV Shows.

You can choose to manage one of our big projects or a smaller one. Each project has many volunteers. Your job would be to make sure that the volunteers have everything they need to succeed. This would be mostly making sure that you direct them to the information on our instruction pages and making sure that each project has all the volunteers they need to comeplete the task. It also includes scheduling and planning.

You should be tecnically saavy enough to use our project management software and to be able to problem solve and figure out new ways that things can be done more efficiently.

You should be able to attend an occassional meeting or event in Portland Oregon. Most of the work will be online so you should be tenacious enough to make sure a project gets done on your own. You should also have an up-to-date computer and a good internet connection.

Take a look at our website http://greenergood.com and reply on Volunteer Match.

Mission Statement

The mission of Sustainability Works is to provide information on easy to do sustainable practices through media and on the ground projects.

Description

Sustainability Works was founded in 2007 and began as a community garden and tv show about sustainability. We now focus on succinct media for quick messaging on how to be sustainable. Our main focus is on botanical issues like pollinator gardens and backyard food crops. We believe that restoring native habitat, choosing the right garden plants, and the right to grow food plants in within our communities will go a long way in bringing clean air and clean water back. We strive to create vibrant films, photos, art, and other media that inspire people to get connect with nature.
