Volunteers Packing Food
Volunteers sorting and packing donated food at Emergency Foodshelf Network.

The Food Group is a food bank dedicated to fighting hunger and nourishing our community. We distribute good food to a network of more than 200 hunger relief partners.

At The Food Group we LOVE volunteers! In fact, we rely on them. Without the contributions of our volunteers, we would not be able to serve good food to so many hungry Minnesotans. Last year alone we had 15,000 incredible volunteers!

Warehouse projects range from sorting donated food, re-packaging bulk food into consumer size packages, packaging fresh produce or frozen meat items, etc. These items go to our Fare for All sites and our 200 partner agencies, including food shelves and community programs that directly serve people living with food insecurity.

We can take groups ranging from 10-50 M-F 9-5pm with occassional evening and Saturday times.

FOR INDIVIDUALS:

Because our work in the warehouse is assembly line style projects the only opportunities for individuals to volunteer are on the second Wednesday of every month 5-7pm.

Please email volunteer@thefoodgroupmn.org with any questions or to set up a specific volunteer time and visit our website at www.thefoodgroupmn.org to find out more on how you can join us in the good fight against hunger.
