About

Our volunteers visit with our patients, do office work and assist in special events. We also need special volunteers to sit with patients who are nearing the end of their lives.

Compainions are friends to the patient. They may share stories, read to patients or play games with them. Sometimes volunteers play music or sing to the patient.Office volunteers may do needed paperwork, answer the phone or do mailings.Special event volunteers may work with fund raisers or other events Otterbein Hopsice

Volunteers who have a health care background may sit with patients who are in crisis or are in their final hours.

Hospice is a way of acknowledging the value of life. It is a way of honoring people who have lived their lives and made contributions to our society. It is a way for people who are compassionate and kind to give back to others.
