Scholars First STEM Academies is a 501 (c) (3) revived non-profit organization which our mission is to provide regular day STEM instruction, after school, and summer STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) programs to students from low socio economic neighborhoods in Baltimore. Our goal is to increase positive attitudes toward STEM in K-8th grade and increase hands-on learning opportunities for students in Baltimore's economically marginalized areas by exploring STEM concepts and encourage lifelong learning of STEM subjects. The purpose in our mission for writing grants is to secure funding for classes in Baltimore's disadvantaged areas. We seek the professional knowledge of an experienced grant writer with knowledge of business development experience and other strategies to win the grants. Also, we seek someone with strategies for continued fundraising. This position requires the following skills: Primary grant writing experience with business development, philanthropy,and sustained fundraising strategies.
