As our organization is growing, IndyHumane has become one of the go-to places for information about dogs and cats. With that growth comes a lot of people trying to get in touch with us and who appreciate hearing from a real person when they call.
IndyHumane would like to start having live calls during our busy times. We need Volunteer Help to achieve this.
Attached to this email is a Job Description for the Phone Team position.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have the ability to commit to a set weekly schedule (no Floaters) for at least 6 months
- Must have the ability to commit to a 3 hour shift on a weekly basis
- Must complete 3 Shadow Days (Training)
- Must have a professional and clear speaking tone
- Must be able to talk and type at the same time
- Must be knowledgeable of IndyHumane Services
- Must be pleasant, patient, and dependable
Phone Team Volunteers are needed:
- Monday thru Friday: 1pm-6pm
- Saturday: 11am-5pm
- Sunday: 11am-3pm

WHO WE ARE
Since 1905, IndyHumane provides vital services to animals and people alike through sheltering and adopting animals, providing positive reinforcement behavior training for adoptable animals and outreach through our community and shelter programs.
A private, nonprofit organization that receives no public or private government funding, the Humane Society of Indianapolis is supported solely by contributions, grants, bequests, investments, adoption fees and other fees for service.
