High School/Secondary Education Coordinator

This role focuses on students grades 9 - 12 (ages 14 - 18).

The responsibilities of the Coordinator are:

  • Oversee creation and development of grade level curricululm, guides, kits, activities, web-based products, and content for the Enterprise in Space Academy
  • Collaborate with competition coordinators
  • Obtain educator volunteers for the Junior High/Intermediate Team
  • Coordinate grade level formal and informal educator training and professional development workshops and conference/symposium activities
  • Communicate and collaborate with other Education Coordinators
  • Work with educators from around the world

The mission of Enterprise In Space is to motivate students everywhere to reach for the stars, fostering a lifelong commitment toward building a better future for humanity, empowering teachers to drive educational change and equipping students with the skills to accomplish it.

Description

Enterprise In Space will design, engineer, build, launch, orbit, recover, tour, and exhibit a spacecraft named NSS Enterprise containing over 100 student experiments. Students will use a new powerful artificial intelligence tool, learning to apply science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM), and communicate in natural language with their experiments. This project will demonstrate and pioneer new technologies while inspiring and encouraging space enterprise, and is a tribute to the many great visionaries of science and science fiction. EIS will engage and inspire the next generation - all ages and walks of life - by igniting a renewed interest in space exploration and development.
