If you love history, storytelling, and interacting with people, consider volunteering as a costumed interpreter at Old World Wisconsin.
Volunteer interpreters work alongside staff in period clothing to share the history of Wisconsin and its people. Volunteers interpreters asist staff in the demonstration of 19th century skills and crafts and engage guests of all ages in a variety of hands-on activites and chores. Volunteers also learn about historic collection preservation and help to provide safe encounters between guests and artifacts.
Old World Wisconsin volunteers receive generous benefits through the Wisconsin Historical Society, including admission to all 12 WHS sites and museums, as well as discounts on WHS products and in WHS museum stores. Old World Wisconsin provides training and uniforms to all its volunteers.
