We are seeking individuals with a strong desire to promote awareness of Chronic Kidney Diaease and the issues people living on dialysis face daily. Also people who enjoy volunteering and working with and helping patients. We host many events of a recreational or social nature i.e, bowling outings, 'chair yoga classes, Spa Treatment events, Casino Trips, Miniature golf outings, movie days, Broadway trips, Zumba Parties, etc. We seek people who enjoy working in a fun, patient centered enviroment to act as "Patient Guides". Essentially walking the patient through the activity and assisting when needed. Passing out information, filling out forms if needed, etc. Ability to work in a team envirment is a must. Bilingual helpful... Spanish

To enhance the quality of life for all Chronic Kidney Disease/dialysis patients by decreasing incidences of isolation and/or depression through education, offering of recreational and social events/activities, community awareness, and advocacy.
Description
We are a recreational service organization offering day trips to various venues and recreational events and activities for chronic kidney disease patients LIVING on DIALYSIS. We offer trips to local/regional casinos, shopping outlets, sports arenas, Broadway plays, cultural events and attractions, all via bus transportation. Trips are currently offered montly with plans to increase to weekly as dialysis patient's schedules rotate on M, W, F, or T Th, Sat.
