More than a million New Yorkers are facing hunger and in many communities it is difficult to find fresh, healthy food. City Harvest's Healthy Neighborhoods Program helps to address this problem. LiveOn NY has teamed with City Harvest's Mobile Market Program and we need your help at the Markets.
We will be at the St. Mary's Mobile Market in the parking lot on Cauldwell Avenue the 2nd Saturday and the 4th Tusday each month from 8:30 - 10:30AM.
Your job at the market will be helping to bring awareness to older shoppers about the benefits they might qualify for with an emphasis on food (SNAP) assistance. You will distribute fliers about our programs.
By volunteering with LiveOn NY you will help to ensure hungry and "food insecure" older adults and their families receive access to much needed food, medical, and rental assistance.
Bi-lingual Volunteers are encouraged to apply.
