The Scott County Historical Society seeks volunteers to help maintain the Stans Garden. This includes weeding, mowing, planting, cleaning, and other general maintenance tasks so that the garden can be readily enjoyed by the public. Gardening supplies are provided.
This volunteer position is flexible, but the SCHS asks that garden volunteers commit to at least 4 hours/month. This opportunity is available starting in May and running through early October.

Scott County Historical Society - Stans Museum is a countywide professional institution taking a leadership role in the management of the historical resources of Scott County. It serves its communities through preserving and making information available through exhibits, and educational programs for all ages. It strives to make history fun.
Description
The Scott County Historical Society operates the Stans Museum and the 1908 Stans House in downtown Shakopee. As a membership organization, we work to save and share the history and cultural heritage of Scott County.
SCHS offers: engaging exhibits, youth, adult and outreach programs, extensive research library, museum store, and much more
