We are seeking 2-3 computer literacy instructors to teach basic computer skills to public housing residents in the Park Hill and Arlington Terrace community on the North Shore of Staten Island. The instructors will provide basic computer literacy instruction in assigned related subject/topic areas to include Introduction to Computer, Computer Fundamentals, Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint as well as internet browsing, establishing e-mail address and basic web-page development. The instructors will also prepare and submit Computer Literacy Curriculum providing a basic introduction to computer, computer fundamentals as well as Microsoft operations, conduct student assessment through testing, develop individualized learning lesson plans for each trainee, and assess trainee’s computer literacy progress by reviewing and updating plans regularly. Provide additional instruction that improves trainee’s computer literacy level measured by trainee pre/post testing. If interested, please email me your resume at wewal75@yahoo.com

Founded in the winter of 2000, the organization is a registered nonprofit staffed by community volunteers and interns from undergraduate and graduate schools throughout New York City. Since the foundation, the organization has engaged in offering service of a unique nature aimed at meeting the needs of the community we serve. Currently, the organization provides Job Readiness Training and Referrals, Case Management and Referral, After School and Out-of-School Youth Educational and Recreational Program, Computer and Financial Literacy Classes, and Civic Education Classes to needed families on the North Shore of Staten Island.

The organization also provides Nutritional Food, Clothing, and other household items to families in need.
