Newark Parks Foundation needs a newsletter writer to publish a 1-page quarterly newsletter so as to keep our supporters updated on our progress. Draft content will be provided to this writer, but writer can also suggest content. Currently we do not have an MS Word template for our newsletter, so we're looking to the writer to make a slick one with our branding/messaging.
If you've got the creative gene, we'd love to chat with you. We give great recommendations and the cause is a great one, and you'll get to learn about exciting park intiatives happening in the Tri-Cities area to boot. Youth need parks, and a newsletter will help us meet that need. Thank you.

Newark Parks Foundation mobilizes financial and community support to deliver thriving, accessible, supported, and varied parks, open spaces, and recreational opportunities for a healthy and united Newark.
Description
Newark Parks Foundation will support new and existing parks, open spaces, and recreation in and around Newark, California, for the enjoyment and benefit of the citizens of Newark. The Foundation will do so by:
- Organizing volunteers to build and/or maintain parks and park amenities/structures.
- Organizing user groups to identify the community’s unmet recreational needs.
- Applying for grants to support the Foundation’s capital projects and, as needed, right-of-way leases.
- Identifying partnerships between surrounding cities and park districts.
- Publishing articles to generate public support for parks and to educate the general public on the state of parks and recreation.
- Sponsoring/organizing park support events, including trash pickup events.
