Rescuer's Relief RV Trip
follow along on our Adventure to Rescue the Rescuers

Funding a nonprofit organization is a huge task. It is a vital role that needs focus and commitment. Our Director of Grant Research and Procurement needs your help.

Tasks may include finding grants the Rescuer's Relief may qualify for, writing letters of inquiry, proofreading letters by others prior to submission, assisting the Director in providing timely information needed for each grant opportunity and putting together a presentable grant application package for her review and submission.

This process is simply not a one person task.. all phases must be a team effort.

Mission Statement

Rescuer's Relief is a 501c3 whose mission is to provide skilled ferret caregivers to allow ferret rescuers and ferret families a chance to take a break , get away and still have peace of mind. We will offer our service FREE to rescues, shelters and sanctuaries.

Description

For the past several years I have owned and operated Wind & Willows Ferret Rescue. We have dedicated our energies toward taking care of ferrets in Northern Nevada.

In the fall of 2012 I landed in the hospital with a stress induced heart attack. I was blessed to already have a network of friends and volunteers that could step up and step in while I healed. But, I began to worry about the other rescuers. After much thought and family discussion, we decided we needed to "Rescue the Rescuers".

Rescuer’s Relief, Inc. was created to lend a much needed hand to dedicated rescuers. We are currently preparing for our first year on the road. In an effort to provide our services to as many ferret rescuers as possible we are seeking corporate sponsors within the pet industry. While we welcome and encourage sponsorship from any interested business we are especially interested in partnering with those that cater to the needs of the nation’s third most popular companion animal, ferrets.
