Potter

Burlington Public Library is excited to be hosting our second annual Quidditch Fest. Quidditch is a sport (similar to soccer or rugby) played in the popular book series Harry Potter.

What was originally intended as a simple demonstration by the Rain City Raptors, a professional Muggle Quidditch team, has grown tremendously. As Muggles young and old take part in Quidditch matches, volunteers will help run a Harry Potter inspired carnival happening simultaneously on an adjacent field. That’s why we need your help.

Volunteers will work in pairs or small groups to run several activity stations inspired by Hogwarts classes. We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers willing to come in costume or wear one of ours. Lunch will be provided. Half-day shifts may also be available.

Quidditch Fest wouldn’t be possible without volunteers, so this year we are offering a special sponsorship option for businesses, service groups, and other organizations that can pledge a group of five volunteers or more. Sponsors will get their logo on our website as well as printed in the Hogwarts Class Schedule, which is a schedule of events given to each attendee. Last year we had over 1300 attendees and we are expecting even more this year.

Please help us bring the magic of Harry Potter to life!
