Diaper Drive Hosts needed for YWCA's Young Parent Program
ORGANIZATION: YWCA of Seattle-King County-Snohomish County
Please visit the new page to apply.
- A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
This volunteer opportunity helps with the basic needs of a new parent, especially a young one. The YWCA E. Cherry Branch desperately needs diapers size 3,4,5 and 6.
We take young mothers ages 18-23 and help with parenting, educational needs, and employment services. We also help them with stable housing. Diapers as you can imagine are a vital part of this program. In some situations there may be no income, and even getting them on food stamps won't cover diapers. Please consider hosting a local diaper drive with friends, co-workers or family. Anything you can do, even if it's just a bag from yourself, we'd appreciate it.
Be a part of a program that helps young parents gain the skills and education to better their lives, and in turn helps their children.
You do not need to go through the application process for this opportunity, just gather a group and plan a drive, know your preferred dates, and email Nichelle Hilton to schedule, at nhilton@ywcaworks.org
