Due to the large number of events the Carmel Bach Festival hosts during the two-week Festival, we go through linens used for the décor like General Grant storming through Richmond. Often the linens start to show signs of love (a.k.a., spills and stains). While staff is busy hosting events, attending meetings, and catching up on administrative tasks during the fast-paced two-week Festival, there is no time to make sure that linens are set and ready to go before the next event, which often fall on the very next day. In these instances, we need volunteers who can stop by the office in the morning, pick up the linens, wash and fold them, and return them to the office that afternoon/early evening. This opportunity occurs approximately every other day during the Festival on an as-needed basis.

Requirements: Laundry detergent will be provided, along with a laundry basket for transporting linens. The volunteer assigned to this task will need reliable transportation to and from the Carmel Bach Festival office, access to laundry facilities, and a good book to read while the linens are being washed. Please note that the Carmel Bach Festival cannot reimburse for laundromat services.
