VITAS Healthcare of Jacksonville
VITAS invites friendly and well mannered pets to join our Paw Pals volunteer team! A registered Paw Pal (and their human) learn to visit hospice patients in their homes or care facility. Paw Pal visitors offer comfort, bring back memories, encourage interaction, and provide unconditional love to patients and families.
Pet visits can sometimes reach a patient when no one else can. All kinds of pets are invited to join the team!
Paw Pals must be well groomed, at least one year old, up to date on vaccinations and able to follow basic commands. Human volunteers need to be at least 18 years old.
