Tutoring session
One of our tutors is giving a Basic Reading session to her student.

Literacy Volunteers of Randolph County offers a free tutoring training. After completing the training, a tutor will be paired with a student for one-on-one sessions. With assistance from the program director, the tutor will be responsible for creating lesson plans according to the student’s need. The tutor and the student will meet regularly, once a week, for the session. The organization provides all materials and any assistance as needed. The tutors will report their teaching hours and the student’s progress to the organization regularly.
