Established June 14, 2006, activities of the Afro-American Heritage Center are 'Raising the Value of History & Culture’ by promoting educational programs based on American History from the Afro-American perspective.
The purpose of the Program Planning Committee is to work with the Board of Directors in developing educational programs based on the mission of the organization. The term of office shall be for a period of one year or less.
Annually members of the Afro-American Heritage Center have a goal to host a minimum of four programs, which are primarily documentary screenings and discussions. Periodically these presentations include guest authors, filmmakers and historians who bring additional depth to these presentations. Your willingness to support our mission as a volunteer will help further our mission.
