Rare Genomics Institute is seeking a volunteer attorney / legal consultant to provide expert advice and guidance on non-profit law in a variety of international jurisdictions.

Preferred Background, Experience, Skills, Knowledge:

Experience in transactional non-profit law, with particular knowledge of the laws of Israel, Korea, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Spain, United Kingdom, India, Canada, Australia, Portugal, Chile, South Africa.


Qualifications:


Ability to provide legal guidance on a wide variety of nonprofit law matters, including but not limited to:

· Charitable non-profit formation and governance

· Diverse international jurisdictions

· International transactions

· Management of international entities / affiliates

· Intellectual property law

· Licensing

· Corporate law

· Choice of law

· Liability / risk management

· Regulatory compliance and filings

· Insurance

· Routinely communicates complex legal and/or business issues succinctly and effectively

Education:

J.D. / Law degree
