Rio Rancho -- Heartland Hospice is looking for caring people in the Rio Rancho area who have a little extra time and a lot of heart! We are a dedicated team that focuses on enhancing the quality of life by providing comfort care as well as spiritual, social and emotional support to patients in the final phase of a terminal illness.

Following training and the legal requirements of background checks and TB tests, volunteers visit hospice patients in their homes about once a week, to listen, talk and socialize.

Our volunteer program stresses human values that go beyond the physical needs of the patient, and we strive to ensure that our patients spend their final days in dignity and comfort. Volunteers provide a supportive role only, no hands-on care is required.
