Angel Faces is in need of volunteers to assist with its annual fundraising event, Evening with Angels.
The Event Manager would work with the Development Director to manage events and ensure deadlines and budgets are adhered to. The Event Manager would work with Event Committee and Development Director to direct coordination of activities to prepare for the day of the event.- Prepare invitations and send out at appropriate time.
- Work with guest of honor to ensure all requests are met.
- Work with committee to drive attendance to the event.
- Promote the event using flyers, cold calling, and social media as examples of ways to spark attention.
- Work with committee on sponsorship opportunities.
- Ensure day of event goes smoothly.
- Set up booths, flowers, decorations, and other event decor.
- Work with committee to plan menus, order food, and hire chefs or caterers.
- Sample food, including main dishes and desserts.
- Give recommendations to Development Director for items such as music and menus.

Angel Faces provides healing retreats and ongoing support of adolescent girls and young women with burn/trauma injuries to achieve their optimum potential and develop meaningful relationships for themselves, their families, and their communities.
Description
Angel Faces was founded in 2003 to transform the lives of adolescent girls and young women with severe, permanent burn/trauma. The founder, Lesia Cartelli, burned at age nine in a natural gas explosion, envisioned healing and skill-building retreats and aftercare programs that would inspire and nurture a community of girls to reach their optimum potential --to gain self-confidence, overcome the trauma of their injuries, conquer feelings of rejection and isolation, form meaningful friendships, and support each other. Today, Angel Faces is the only organization in the United States designed to help girls and young women with burn/trauma injuries heal and enrich their lives. Angel Faces' programs are designed to encourage, inspire, empower and provide ongoing support. Our programs focus on enhancing self-esteem and social skills, while addressing the emotional and psychological healing process from traumatic injuries within a holistic framework of mind, body, and spirit.
We have retreats for 12 to 18 year old girls and 19 to 29 year old women. We are expanding our retreats in 2017 to include military women who have been disfigured through their service.
