Job Description
Position Title: Social Media and Content Manager Intern
Classification: Part-time or Full-time
Compensation: Unpaid
Position Summary:
As the Social Media and Content Manager (intern/volunteer) for MOMS, you will drive the day-to-day operational work of social media marketing and drive the overall strategy of the program.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage social media campaigns and day-to-day activities. Duties include online advocacy, community-outreach efforts, promotions, program updates etc.
Manage presence in social networking sites including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, instagram and other similar community sites, posting on relevant blogs, and seeding content into social applications as needed
Create an effective marketing strategy that includes collaborating with local agencies, using social media and correspondence to highlight a specific program
Optimize social media channels to increase follower base, engagement and traffic to our blog and website
Manage day-to-day publishing, uploading and monitoring on social media channels
Send Monthly newsletters
Monitor digital reputation
Skills & Qualifications:
Proficiency in social media (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Wordpress)
A minimum of being enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program
Majoring in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Psychology, or a related field
Experience in marketing is a plus
Effective interpersonal, listening, writing, and presentation skills
Ability to independently initiate projects and activities
Able to work 5-10 hours per week
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication
Attentive to details
Dedication, motivation, and commitment to the job at hand
Minimum 1 year commitment
