Job Description
Position Title: Business & Finance Intern or Volunteer
Classification: Part-time or full-time with the possibility of promotion in the future
Compensation: Unpaid Probationary Period
Position Summary:
The Business/Finance Intern will help spearhead MOMS fundraising endeavors as well as establish relationships with businesses within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and implement fundraising campaigns
Initiate cold calls to local businesses for funding, sponsorships, and in kind donations
Establish partnerships within the local community
Expand new avenues for funding, such as eScrips, Nickels for Nonprofits, etc.
Locate and apply for grant opportunities from local foundations, corporations, and state/federal funding opportunities
Secure in-kind donations for office supplies and silent auction items
Skills & Qualifications
A minimum of being enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program, graduate degree prefered
Majoring in Finance, Accounting, or related fields, as well as fields related to social impact
Able to work 5 hours per week
Prior experience with raising funds
Must have a friendly and professional speaking voice with strong phone etiquette skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication
Attentive to details
Must be able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally, to achieve the goals of the organization
