An 81 yr. old lady who has had breast cancer and who has arthritis and hip and knee problems could use some help with housework chores that are getting harder and harder for her to do. She is very friendly and engaging and would love to visit as well. She would welcome help even just a couple of times a month. She lives in a house in the west Valley near Thierman and 7th Ave.

Volunteer Chore Services provides a wide range of household tasks and assistance that enable low-income elderly and disabled clients to remain in their own homes with dignity, safety, and a connection to their community.
Description
Volunteer Chore Services is a program of Catholic Charities, started as a safety net for elders and adults with disabilities who do not qualify for state-paid chore assistance and cannot afford to hire assistance. Assistance includes housework, laundry, transportation, shopping and various other independent living requests.
Catholic Charities affirms the dignity of every person, partnering with parishes and the greater community to serve and advocate for those who are vulnerable, bringing stability and hope to people throughout Eastern Washington.
Volunteers can choose which chore or chores they wish to help with and how often they want to help. Volunteers can set their own schedules.
