About

The Education Foundation of Sarasota County invests in the success of every student and teacher through high impact initiatives supported by our community partners and donors. We are excited to announce the launch of #SRQHacks. The #SRQHacks Hackathon will promote a college and career going culture by exposing often overlooked and underrepresented 13-18 year old students to the field of Computer Science. Students will be teamed up with mentors from Tech, Design, and Business industries to create apps and websites that could potentially solve a community-wide issue. They will be empowered to dream and create big.

In order to put on a successful event for our students, we need volunteers to assist during the event - Friday, October 14 - Sunday, October 16.

Volunteer duties include:

  • Registration
  • Food set-up and clean up
  • Social media updates
  • Runners
  • Event break down
  • etc..

If you are interested, please register as a volunteer here: https://secure.qgiv.com/event/srqhacks/register/
