The Arc of St. Charles is seeking volunteers to particpate in daily hands-on activities with indviduals who have intellectual and developmetnal disabilities.
Social Stimulation Activities: Birthday party celebrations, ice cream socials, tailgate parties, Holiday parties, etc.
Food Center Activities: Frosting cookies, baking brownies, coloring Easter eggs, preparing garden salads, etc.
Mental Stimulation Activities: Playing cards, board games, story time (seniors sharing life experiences), sing along songs, music time, etc.
Sensory Stimulation Activities: Sing along songs, Music time, listening to nature sounds, wheelchair exercises, bouncing balls, playing catch, kicking beach balls, etc.
Others: Gardening, Pet Therapy

Description
The Arc of St. Charles has been providing services to the St. Charles Parish community since 1971. In 1999 we began providing Elderly and Wavier Services. Since 1992, United Way of St. Charles has funded Respite Services for persons with disabilities and Elderly Citizens.
