Relay For Life is the Society’s largest signature fundraising event that offers communities an opportunity to celebrate survivors, remember loved ones lost to the disease, and fight back against cancer. Relays are 12 to 24 hours in length and go overnight. Teams of 8 to 15 people raise money in advance and camp out at a local high school, park, or fairground and take turns walking, jogging, or running around a track or path. Teams are encouraged to camp out in tents and enjoy the great music, food, and camaraderie of the event.
We are looking for people to be on our planning committee. The commitmement is 1 hour every month to help plan Relay For Life starting August 2016.
