Seeking Emergency Lighting Design - Fire Protection Engineer (SFPE) for Sustainable City Center

One Community is an all-volunteer nonprofit sustainability think tank. Our team is global and we do all our work virtually. We're seeking a person to help design the fire alarm system, emergency lighting, and smoke detector systems for this structure: www.onecommunityglobal.org/duplicable-city-center

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years commercial design experience please
• AutoCAD experience and your own copy of the software
• Must be available for 10+ volunteer hours a week
• Must be self-motivated and comfortable working in a virtual environment (from home) using GoogleDocs and DropBox for collaboration

WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT

The Duplicable City Center is an open source dining hall and recreation hub designed to service 200+ people and function as the center of eco humanitarian villages to be built around the world. No other organization in the world is creating open source designs like this. Completion of this task will provide the final component we need to finish the control and automation systems.

WHAT IT SHOULD LOOK LIKE WHEN DONE

1. Placement in AutoCAD of the fire alarm system, emergency lighting, and smoke detector systems
2. List of all products/hardware used
3. List of all codes confirming placement and selection of hardware
4. Written report summarizing all of the above and to be published on our website
