Get Active, Get Outside, Volunteer!
The City of Mukilteo is teaming up with EarthCorps to train the next cohort of Park Stewards to engage the community in healthy activities that enhance the quality of life in Mukilteo. The Park Stewardship Program is a great way to come together and help maintain and preserve our beautiful outdoor spaces!
The Stewardship Program will engage volunteers in the long-term sustainability of natural areas in the City of Mukilteo. Volunteers will attend four workshops (a combination of lecture and field experience) to learn general program orientation & expectations, plant identification, best management practice related to weed control and native planting, trail maintenance, and volunteer management.
Once trained, stewards commit to atleast 25 hours within a year to the program where they will implement an approved work plan with their volunteer cohort, including coordinating and leading community events.
