The Women's Opportunity Center (WOC) would like to train a pool of volunteers that are able to cover busy days and help ensure that women who come to our YWCA have the best experience possible.

The Women's Opportunity Center encompasses the Women to Work computer lab and Our Sisters Closet free cloting bank. With just 3 regular staff members running these areas, volunteers have the potential to make a huge impact on the quality and quantity of services that we are able to provide women at the YWCA of Spokane.

Assistants in training will be given time to get to know our computer lab and clothing bank by starting out with simple tasks like sorting donations, and greeting women who come to the computer lab. The most experienced Women's Opportunity Center (WOC) Program Assistant might start the day setting up the coffee station before sitting at the computer lab front desk, greeting participants and helping a woman write her resume. Then she migh sort clothing dontations and help faciliate a 90 minutes appointmet with a woman who is looking for interview clothes.

These Rock Star Volunteers come into the YWCA with a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn. We are happy to work around your regular schedule in order to find times that are most effective for everyone.
