Volunteers are the heart of the Museum’s mission-to inspire, through science and education, a passion for nature, the protection of natural diversity, the fostering of health and leadership to a sustainable future. More than 250 volunteers graciously donate over 22,000 hours of service annually across 20+ Museum departments. From collections and research to guest services, we do our best to find the right position for each volunteer.

Museum Concierge The Cleveland Museum of Natural History is a world-class organization that strives to provide world-class guest service. Museum Concierge Volunteers enhance visitor experience by creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere, assisting with questions and wayfinding, and gathering evaluative information that allow for continuous customer service improvements. Ralph Perkins II Wildlife Center & Woods Garden Steward

Phase 1 of the Museum’s Centennial Transformation Project is well underway and the new Ralph Perkins II Wildlife Center & Woods Garden is scheduled to open in August 2016! Volunteers will be needed to help visitors with wayfinding, and provide guests with information about the Museum’s wildlife and natural areas programs.
