ORGANIZATION: Sundance Circle Hippotherapy

ETC Youth Leadership is seeking a volunteer coordinator to work with our founder and volunteers to carry out a youth leadership program. Duties would include:

  • Coordinating schedule of volunteers throughout the week
  • Seeking new volunteers
  • Training of volunteers in horse and barn procedures

Required:

  • A love of horses
  • Ability to connect with people and positive attitude to express gratitude to volunteers to the organization.
  • Ability to stay organized and handle many moving pieces

ETC Youth Leadership is one of two programs running in western Washington. Located in Clearview between Woodinville and Snohomish, it is a quiet location. It is dedicated to offering a safe and supportive environment for community service hours and leadership development.

Description

"Hippotherapy" refers to how occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech-language pathology professionals use evidence-based practice and clinical reasoning in the purposeful manipulation of a horse’s movement as a therapy tool to engage sensory, neuromotor, and cognitive systems to promote functional outcomes for patients.
