Special Olympics Florida provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic type sports for children and adults with intellecutal disabilities who wish to participate. Each year more than 20,000 volunteers in Florida assist as coaches, in competitions and as managment team volunteers.
Special Olympics Florida - Santa Rosa County is seeking volunteers to join its management team.
Looking for experienced Sports Management and Fundraising Volunteers. Sp orts Mangers will work directly with the County Director to define and execute the County's strategic plan for 2017 Fall Classic Sports and Summer Games Sports. we will develop new athletes, coaches, sports' volunteers and venues. Fall Classic Sports include Powerlifting, Gymnastics, Softball and Flag Football. Summer Games Sports include: Cycling, Tennis, Bocce, Volleyball and Track & Field. Alternate Sports Managers needed for 2017 Swimming, Surfing, Stand up Paddle, Golf and Bowling.
Fundraising Management team will work with County Director to execute established events and integrate Special Olympics Florida as beneficiary in existing Community events.

Description
Special Olympics Florida provides sports training and Olympic-style competition to more than 60,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and developmental disabilities throughout the state. Special Olympics Florida is a Level I Accredited Program (highest level of accreditation granted by SOI) and is divided into 11 area programs, which cover over 55 counties.
