ORGANIZATION: Adopt A Cat

  • 1 person is interested

Adopt A Cat needs a person who likes to talk to people and finds the phone and internet friendly, comfortable tools. THere are many tools available on thr internet to help build a volunteer and donor base. One need not know of these to start , but must be intersted in the mission and able to learn these tools fairly quickly. Much of this does not need to be done at thre Acopt A Cat location. Really caring for the plight of homeless cats is a must. If someone could spend 10 hours a week first learnign the opportunites and then using them, it would be a wonderful boon for the at in our care.

Description

Adopt A Cat has been in existence for 18 years to provide shelter and sanctuary to homeless cats and kittens in the greater Houston area. We house most of our residents in colony housing, not cages. Cats can be adopted on site and we take our cats to the adoption centers in local PetSmarts stores. We have a no-kill policy, so have a mix of old-timers and new residents. Many of our animals are considered unadoptable and stay for life. We are located on a country lane in suburban Houston very near two major arteries.

At another location low-cost, quality wellnes and spay/neuter services are proved to cats, dogs and rabbits of the public and to rescue and animal welfare groups. This clinic, Spay Houston, has been providing services for 3 years.
