Communications Volunteers will assist Planned Parenthood Greater Memphis Region in creating and promoting our communications to the Memphis area. Communications Volunteers will assist with our storytelling collection program by asking friends, family, and acquaintances to share their story of how Planned Parenthood has affected them. With the consent of the sharer, these stories will be used in communications materials, social media, and/or other projects Planned Parenthood is engaged in around storytelling. With the assistance of the Director of Communications and Marketing, volunteers will be able to write letters to the editor about issues relevant to Planned Parenthood and the Memphis area. Volunteers will also comment on news articles and rate Planned Parenthood favorably on social media websites. Volunteers will have the opportunity to collaborate with the staff on new ideas, directions, and venues for communication with the greater Memphis region.
