***Due to COVID-19 Precautions and to ensure the safety of our patients and volunteers we are currently not placing volunteers with patients. However, you may get involved by sending homemade cards to our office to distribute to our patients (birthday, thinking of you, words of encouragement, etc). We will be updating this listing as more information becomes available. Please email kari.floreslefranc@silverado.com for more information. Updated 6.22.2020
Want a way to show your talents and help preserve memories for family and friends of hospice patients? We are looking a mature experienced videographer who wants to keep their video skills sharp by volunteering in our Memory Catcher's program. This program allows our patients to leave a videotaped message for their family. We need someone that can operate the camera and then edit the video and place it on a disk. All our volunteers must attend an orientation session,a TB test, one-time drug screen, and a background check (we pay). Come and join our volunteer team and share your skills with our lovely patients!
You can call our office at (512) 827-6895 or email poliva@silverado.com.

Description
Hospice volunteers are ordinary people of all ages with extraordinary love and a common bond; the concern for others. Our volunteers are an integral part of our Circle of Care team, meeting patient and family needs in many different ways including:
- Providing companionship and socialization
- Providing needed non-medical services, letter writing, running errands and assisting with family needs
- Providing office support for direct patient care activities
Silverado Hospice patients and families experience L.I.F.E. ( Love, Innovation, Family and Engagement ) through our special hospice programs. Turn a few hours a week into priceless moments for hospice patients and families.
