Volunteer in the beautiful walk-through Aviary at CuriOdyssey in San Mateo: interpreting wildlife, assisting visitors, recording bird observations, and maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Current openings: WEDNESDAYS and FRIDAYS, 9am-1pm (for at least 6 months).

Trained and supervised by our professional Animal Keepers, Aviary Aides spend one hour cleaning the Aviary and then the rest of their weekly shift as an interpretive guide engaging with visitors and helping them observe and learn more about the animals in the Aviary.

If interested in this position, please complete an online CuriOdyssey volunteer application, available in the Get Involved/Volunteer section of our website at www(dot)CuriOdyssey(dot)org. Applications will be reviewed when received. The position will be open until filled.

At CuriOdyssey, we are known for our curiosity inspiring interactive science exhibits along with our wildlife exhibits housing over 50 non-releasable animals native to California. The Aviary residents include herons, ducks, pigeons, roadrunner, turtles and burrowing owls.
