Volunteer in the beautiful walk-through Aviary at CuriOdyssey in San Mateo: interpreting wildlife, assisting visitors, recording bird observations, and maintaining a safe, clean environment. The Aviary residents include herons, ducks, pigeons, roadrunner, turtles and burrowing owls.
Current opening: WEDNESDAYS, 9am-1pm (for at least 6 months)
Trained and supervised by our professional Animal Keepers, Aviary Aides spend one hour cleaning the Aviary and then the rest of their weekly shift as an interpretive guide engaging with visitors and helping them observe and learn more about the animals in the Aviary.
